DH did however get my carboot bargain shelving put up (my £1 bargain that just needs touching up with paint but i thought in situ was probably better than bending down!) LOL

Laura Ashley have a 25% sale off everything this weekend and typically i went shopping the day before it started - i really must take more notice of ...well, notices!! lol Ive always known what kind of fruit bowl/stand i wanted and over the years have bought loads of glass/metal/plastic bowls etc but nothing ever seemed 'perfect'. However i found this gorgeous stand and almost gasped at the perfectness (is that a word?) of it..... ive finally found the one ive been looking for!!

Talking of coloured pretties (see the link i did there - heck that was good going with pregnancy brain!) i have been playing with the P K Glitz glitters and embossing powders this weekend and boy i forgot where glitter DOESNT get to! Heres a sneak of my first layout made for the team...

Well, im off to write up a little of tomorrows post too as im salivating at the thought of it - Week 9 brings our first sweetie shopping list and also the 'ingredients' you will need for a perfect little packaging idea. I love the little project ive designed and will do the tutorial one day later in the week so that you have the sweets recipe seperate, on Wednesday as usual. Perfect combination for Mothers Day and Easter :)
I can`t wait for the sweetie project it sounds fab. Great cake stands too I love the glass one. My Mum has one that belonged to my Nana and I love it. 25% off at Laura Ashley too, I`m there!

Enjoy your evening - Ju xxx
Dontcha just love charity shops??? The cake stands look fabulous and has reminded me that I ordered one and a matching tea for one pot from Avon the other week - wonder when it will be here...xox
ReplyDeleteI have to paint my bargain shelves! I can't wait for them to look as good as yours - they are very similar.
ReplyDeleteYour shelves look great.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to the sweetie recipe.
I hope you have an easier week,

Your charity shops are obviously far superior to the ones near me! Sorry bout your hips, i know how much of a nightmare it is, when i was pregnant with my youngest, my hips got that bad i couldn't walk. lived in my bedroom for the last couple months. It was all worth it though, even pushing out all 10lb 10oz of him! lol.

Can't wait to check out tomorrow's post. And you are right, when you are able to walk about there won't be anywhere you want to go, lol

Hi there, have been lurking for ages and thought I'd finally leave a comment!! I just wanted to say how utterly gorgeous your blog is and I share your love of all things pretty and homespun!! Loving your recipes too, looking forward to the next one!
ReplyDeleteI also have to empathise with the hip thing. Through all 5 of my pregnancies I sufferered symphisis pubis dysfunction which sounds like what you have. it's so debilitating but it does go almost as soon as the baby is born - it's quite amazing !! Make sure you just be careful with yourself- easier said than done, lol.
Take care,
Caryn xxx
Hi Sweetie sorry to hear your suffering with walking, sounds like you have symphisis pubis dysfunction.....I had this in my last pregnancy it's where a hormone that should be released during labour to soften, slacken your ligaments etc holding your pelvis together ready to deliver the baby, decides to release early resulting in very painful pelvis and hips etc etc.as there is nothing holding it together properly!! I too had to have crutches and a wheelchair in the end and unfortunately could nto be mobile during labour...obviously because you can't walk!!!! I remember how painful it is and sympathise with you. Unfortunately it stays until baby comes, then just dissappears after!! By the 3rd week it was like I had never had it! Love your blog and recipes..thank you for sharing :) Hugs to you sweetie xoxox
ReplyDeleteYep thats exactly what i have - i had it with my last two as well and thankfully it went as soon as i had given birth. Im hoping its the same with this one! lol
ReplyDeleteThe things we do (and forget about so do again!!) LOL
Hugs
