Boozy Fruit Cupcakes....
The boys are loving it!
My waist however, is not!
These are basic vanilla cupcakes again, a teaspoon of fruit liquor poured over while just out of the oven so still hot enough to soak it all in.The topping is whipped cream with a teaspoon of liquor again and approx 1oz of fruit - doesnt matter what you use, blueberries, strawberries, raspberries etc.....its all part of your 5 a day!! ;)
Finish with white chocolate sprinkles and devour before the kids get their hands on them! lol

Tangy Lime Cupcakes...
The cake is a basic vanilla sponge with a little lime rind added before baking and a drop of lime juice poured over while still hot. The topping is half butter cream, half cream cheese and the juice and rind of 1 lime. The topping is quite soft and easy to pipe but does harden up after an hour or so so leave out to harden before packing away in cake tins :)

While the boys watch movies....
While the boys watched Green Hornet last night I got to play with my newly purchased goodies and boy did i have fun! I covered the back and sides of a box frame with a sheet from the Timeless range, inking the edges to make sure none of the frame showed through. I then set to work on making some embellishments, cutting out bits of the papers from the Gabrielle range including this gorgeous huge butterfly, the clocks and keyhole are from the Timeless range, crumpling them and inking as i went.
As i layered them up i added some voile and rolled inked paper too Cutting stickers and fastening bows, taking apart old jewellry and filling the little vial with goodies too...Gathering up all the little bits I wanted to add to the project was part of the fun, I popped them all to one side until i finished layering the papers and voile.
Gradually i added pearls and a whole lot of smiles to this project...did i tell you i love it! lol

Box frames...
With this one i simply painted the outer and inner with cream emulsion to give it a matt base. The little butterflies are from a Stampin Up punch. I punched 4 for each butterfly, (9 whole butterflies in total = 36 punched butterflies) then I folded the butterflies in half and backed one set of wings onto another with glossy accents so that when all 4 are joined it stands up by itself...does that make sense?
These were then backed onto thick cream card in rows of 3.
The rub ons were then placed on the frame once dry and all put back together.
A simple little project to brighten up a dull corner :)

Creative flow!!
Im in the middle of decorating Jake & Bens room - we are putting a divider wall down the middle and Jake chose my absolute favourite paper of the moment! Birds of a Feather - from B&Q how cool is that and absolutely adorable at the wall to the head of his bed!
Ben, being 15, chose the manga wallpaper for one wall on his side - I LOVE IT! I know i probably shouldnt as it has scantily clad girlies on there and what with me having boys of impressionable ages etc but hey they wear less when we go to the beach or outdoors in the summer (and its certainly not like the Sam Fox pics boys use to put up when I was younger!!) LOL

Fabulous Day....
The layout has since been filled in with little snippits of how the weekend went and some things that people said that made my heart swell and my eyes get a little misty *ok i sobbed when i got a chance to read the lovely tags all the girls had made to thank me for a fab weekend - not to mention the gorgeous flowers I got too!!*
*thank you all so much for your encouragement in the last post - sometimes i need a gentle shove and others i need a hefty kick in the patootie* This time though all i felt was kindness and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. xxx
