First carboot sale of the season - done!

My littlest sis stayed over on Saturday night and we headed out to our first carboot sale of the season! SO much to get rid of so started off lightly at a local indoor one but at the end of the month we are heading to the big seafront one - love it there, its so busy and so fast paced that the day go by so quickly!

Its another glorious day out there today so i have been out taking a few shots of the new blossom coming through at the bottom of the garden ...cant wait until the tree is in full bloom - Crunchy seems to be enjoying the weather too! Tonight i will start another project, with this wool ... ...im going to make a picnic blanket but make it so that it can be used as a blanket for us on the beach, for some reason i can see us all huddled watching the sun going down under this blanket!

Just waiting for a delivery then i think i will pop little miss in her buggy and go for a wander - its too nice a day not to!

I received and email last night saying that they had reviewed my site and i was chosen as one of their favourite mummy bloggers! They linked to the blog on their site and did a little write up about me.....

Currently on the needles...

This gorgeous little Sirdar Snowball bollero jacket and hat for Evie...and a car blanket - i wanted something that wasnt going to get dirty quite so quick so went for parchment instead of cream or white. The dusky pink is a lot prettier IRL but the photo was taken at night so it has a yellowy haze! Those blank pearled squares are going to hold crochet flowers so will be competely covered :)

An update on Jakes eye, he woke this morning with it half swollen shut but its easing a little as the day goes on. Not so sore but hurts as its starting to pull when its healing! He got to have today off school and a sticky toffee donut so its not all bad though :)

Tears & Smiles!

Today we have gone from one extreme to the other with a little girl full of smiles......to a little boy full of tears! Jake fell over the football while at school so we had a phonecall to pick him up - poor little soul is really feeling sorry for himself too - look at that pout!

Coconut and lime cake with malibu meringue frosting and toasted coconut flakes :) *see my Emma Bridgewater cup in the background - its my very first and thought i deserved a treat - just a small one though so its one of the mini cups - i have to build up to spending £17 on a mug you know!!*
Cardigan which wass too small once sewn up so is now back to being balls of wool before i commence on the next size up!
I love knitting blankets - seeing the whole thing taking shape and having it lying over your knee keeping you warm as you knit it together! This one is made from 4 balls of pompom wool and is the perfect size for a poorly little girl...

snowed under but back to schedule soon!

I have projects with deadlines so im completing those and will be back with a 'normal' posting system soon - i miss my blog! lol
