  9. Hi Debbie,

My mum would never let us participate in Halloween as kids, so I have to admit I always feel a bit "naughty" these days when I dress Rianna up in a costume and carve pumpkins and do all the things I was never allowed to do! Hee hee!

  10. I love Halloween, but when I was growing up in the Isle of Man, it was Hop-tu-naa, and we used to go round the houses singing traditional songs with our turnip lanterns (or Swedes, as my Southern in-laws call them ;)). No pumpkins here!!

  11. I love Halloween and especially just before when all our house is decorated and we take the children upto the little thatched Village called Cregnash and carve out our turnips, there are tables and tables of children busy at work with their bent spoons as they are so hard to carve!! The smell of the turnips make it feel like Halloween is finally here.
Then usually on Halloween night we have a huge party where everyone dresses up and a hot pot dinner then we are ready for the hop-tu-naa around the village.

  20. I love kath Kidston and I love halloween, the bit I don't like is living in England where you can't get decent halloween craft papers, but I do like TK Max and drooled over there halloween things last year, didn't buy any so have ended uo making my own decorations this year...work still in progress....love that basket though and could really do with one of them for the front door!!
As for the hallway I like to put too many pictures up as well!! Maybe frameless ones so you don't have to choose....I prefer a crackled distressed look personally and you could use little hints of blue and red underneath the white topcoat. About £8.00 from Homebase and works just as well on smaller projects too..unlike the small crafting pots which don't quite stretch to an antique dresser!!
