Head, heart and everything in between!

Ive decided I am an all or nothing person...

If I am going to be your friend i will be there for you to lean on until I am too tired to breathe anymore.

I will give 100% for something I want or require and will stop at nothing to get it.

I would run at 100 miles an hour and face things head on rather than have time to sit and think.

I love being so busy that I fall asleep with my head and heart buzzing.

This of course also has a downside and since I had my first baby almost 15 years ago I have been plagued by the 'baby blues'. Some times they make me sit and think!

The more time you have to think the more time you MAKE to think!

The more you promise yourself things are going to get better, the more that other little auto reaction of 'what if?' keeps popping up and makes you wonder WHEN!?.

Even though you dont want to be sad and even though your head and heart are telling you to pick yourself up and get back to that happy place, well sometimes it just seems a little out of your reach.

You keep smiling and you keep hoping to get back there, knowing full well life is so much nicer once you reach your 'happy place' - its a long path and sometimes you take a wrong turning but somehow you always find your way 'home'...

...after a few tough weeks I finally feel I am home! :)

I have decided from today I am making a concious effort to craft and make something new everyday! I have lots of recipes to upload and lots of cards and craft goodies (having made 15 cards today alone!) I would say I am back on track and raring to go - this time I have a little bit more help and I am not ashamed to admit I needed it.....love and hugs to all, I am happy to be on my path once more :)

  9. Great minds think alike - I have been thinking along the lines of trying to be creative everyday, even if it's just a few rows of knitting. Good to hear from you, you are such an inspiring person x

  10. Debbie - I love visiting and reading your blog but have never commented before - but I have a great deal of empathy with today's post and I felt compelled just to add a few lines to encourage you to keep gently pushing forward and I'm so happy that the 'clouds' have lifted and you are feeling more like the happy buzzy person you want to be all the time - I look forward to seeing your new creations - B xxx

  11. Debbie, I hope you get over these baby blues, they aren't nice and you just can't find a reason for them, except for the horrible hormones. If anyone can overcome them, you can. Hope you get back on top real soon x

  12. I know the feeling of the baby blues. It stinks!!! I do hope that you accept the help you get and find a bit of time in your busy life for yourself. Big hugs from Vienna.

  13. Debbie

I'm not sure what I can add except to send you all my love and best wishes as I know exactly what you are talking about and where you are in life (my little boy was born 7 years ago) and somedays are harder than others but take one day at a time and be easy on yourself too, accept all the help you can.

Missed you, love you, you are a very special lady!

  14. wow, this is an amazing post to read. i am totally the same and have ended up spending silly amounts of time beating myself up for not being 'consistent' or more 'in control'.
today is one of my lows but i feel reassured that i am not the only one that is like this.
i hope you have a great day today and an awesome weekend.

  15. Debbie, loads of big ((((((hugs)))))). I have been quite down recently due to loads of problems and just battling to cope with it all. You are just an amazing super woman to me, you have 5 gorgeous children and you still find time to make divine food and beautiful craft projects and still share it all with us, so in a way it gives me a brighter outlook to know that you have your lows too and yet you still keep going and inspiring us all and then to top it off you are a really kind caring person :) Thanks for sharing and sending you lots of strength and good vibes to stay on your new path :)
