Kenco Eco Cup Giveaway!

I need to take more notice to things going on around me!

I'm missing out on gorgeousness, for example...

I didnt know that Kenco have a reward system whereby you collect points and 'trade' them for eco goodies!

They have kindly given me one of their limited edition eco 'take away' cups to try and one to give away!

Designed by Danielle Proud and inspired by the birds of the rainforests where the Kenco coffee beans grow, the ceramic eco cup eliminates the waste of paper cups, while providing a stylish way of enjoying your favourite coffee on the go!

Beautifully designed with hand drawn illustrations, the cup is insulated to keep your coffee warmer for longer.  This is a must in and around my home as you can guarantee I place a coffee down and forget about it - this way I can go back to it and its still warm! Godsend!!

If you would like to win this limited edition eco cup then please pop your name in the comment section below telling me how you have your coffee....are you a black with sugar or white without, a sweetener girl or a sweet enough?  Good luck!

Winner will be drawn at random on Saturday 9th by my little sister who is coming to stay for a week this Friday!! Yayy!

New Years Resolutions....

How are they going for you?

Have you kept any?

Have you made any more now we are into February and January was such a doddle?!!

January flew by so fast Im not sure whether I stuck to my resolutions because they were something I wanted to do for a change or because im thinking 2013 is going to be fabulous so why not do all I can to make sure it darn well becomes the best ever!

My gratitude journal jar is filling up nicely!  One little comment each day on either something that has made me smile, something that I have enjoyed, something that has saved me from rocking in the corner etc....

I cant wait until the end of the year and hundreds of these little rolled up thank yous can be unleashed!!

Did you make a jar this year?

How are you doing? *why when i say that do i say it in a Joey from Friends voice??*

Halllooooo and February Challenge!

Happy month of LOVE everyone!

Yes, its that time of year when the shops are over run with ladies buying sloppy poem filled cards, scented candles and meals for two..... and men buying fluffy hand cuffs!  Dont think i didnt see you today Mr 'if i sneak these in my basket no one will notice'! lol

February also marks the start of my new recipe challenge.  All you need to do is make one of the Tangy Lemon Cakes from Page 60 of my book and either upload to facebook or email me at debbie@countryheartandhome.com with your entry and you could win some fabulous goodies!

2 miniature cooling racks
6 serving cupcake silicone mould
Bear Spatula
2 x cake sprinkles
Set of 3 heart cutters
Teddy bear chocolate mould
Teddy bear cake mould
Cooking with kids is always such fun but even better if they arent using all your precious kitchen goodies - what better way to get them involved than to give them their own little baking set!  Heck if you dont have little ones these are just way too cute not to use for yourself so give it a go anyway!

Me...im still on the salad and when i shift 1 more lb i will have lost a stone in total!  Only 3 more to go!! eek!

January round up....

Blogger is being a nightmare with the iPad and wont let me even write a post let alone add photographs etc :(  Im gutted as my poor little neglected blog is desperately needing updating more often but i just cant do it!
Does anyone know if there is a magic button to press on the iPad to get it to work with blogger???

Anyways...life here is a mile a minute as usual, only slowed slightly by the snow!  The boys are of course loving it and throwing snowballs, making snow angels and generally messing around in it at every opportunity!

Me, im more the indoorsy type!  Give me a good book, some competitions to enter, nails to paint etc im a happy bunny.  I skipped entering the competitions over Christmas and New Year but once the latest Compers News hit the mat i was back at it with a vengence - its been a while since i won anything and im feeling optomisitic for the coming year!
Talking of competitions, have you seen some of the prize bundle ive put together over on the Gifts From Your Kitchen facebook page?  I set a little challenge until the end of January to upload your pictures of the Hidden Surprise Oreo Cupcakes - you would win a whole bundle of kitchen goodies, well worth a go!!
Yesterday was a major snow day so i decided to adapt a couple of the recipes from my book...I switched around the Macadamia and Apricot Biscotti (page 12) and created Chocolate, Hazelnut and Cherry Biscotti!
Salted caramel and walnut cupcakes and vanilla with raspberry coulis cupcakes were also on the list but im on a major diet so cant even have one!  I swear i keep hearing them call my name though.....honest!!
Next month is the Creative HeART & Soul February retreat and i am so excited!!  Its the only times during the year that i get to play with paper and goodies again.....look at what im busy making for the girls at the minute...i promise to share more pictures when i return but dont want to spoil the surprise so will save it for later ;)
If youre still reading, thanks for sticking with me and I hope I havent lost too many of you due to updating issues - i promise to work something out as I really do miss blogging!!

Some new year goodies!

OK, everyone loves new year as its a time of sales and although the shops seem to drag out all the stock they can never shift, there are some gems in amongst the tat!

I managed to pick up these shoes in Primark for £3 a pair -
 - they are so comfy and work well with skinny jeans (i love saying that - skinny jeans - as though wearing them means im skinny too!!) lol

So far this year im doing well on the skin care/hair care routine and im amazed at how much my hair grew in 2012!  I love long hair but never have the patience to grow it, however this last year has passed in a blur and unintentionally i seem to have done it!! lol
Picture taken on hubbys birthday (8th) as we were going out for lunch...well you have to make an effort now and again dont you! ;)

Things im loving at the minute....

candles...
my new makeup and skin care/hair care storage...(ok girly stuff!)
Starbucks Spiced Vanilla Lattes....(not as nice as gingerbread lattes though!)
and finally....I love my gratitute jar which im filling up over the coming year with all the little bits that make me happy each day.  This picture was taken on the 1st of Jan so I will update as we go each month with how happy ive been! lol
Whats making you happy in 2013??

Happy New Year!

I am such a bad blogger!  Things have been manic here what with one sickness or illness after another - you can guarantee with 7 people in the house someone is going to get a bug that's doing the rounds!

I hope you all had a fabulous Christmas and a lovely new year, whether that be staying in or going out! ;). 2013 is going to be a fantastic year - I have a wonderful feeling about it!

One of my resolutions is to post more often on here too...my poor little neglected blog!
