Calm before the storm....

Im sitting down watching Pink live in concert, catching up on some forums/posts/emails etc before it all kicks off tomorrow - can you believe its almost Christmas EVE!! EEK!!

I finished up the stocking shopping yesterday and picked up a couple of little bits in PastTimes - how cool are these little Table Talk cards. They come in a cute little 2x2 box and have loads of questions to kick start conversations around the table. Ive picked out 5 and will answer them below.....please feel free to share a little of yourself with me too and for being so open i will enter all the names into a draw for some goodies after Christmas - a little post holiday pick me up :)

1. If you could go back in time, to where and when would you go? 1950s America so i can wear all those fab dresses!!

2. Who last inspired you? PINK - she has inspired me to get into shape!! lol

3. Who would you like to houseswap with? Pamela Anderson - her beach house is so shabby chic i would just walk round drooling!

4. What website would you like to use that doesnt exist? Extra hours in the day and a spare pair of hands.com

5. What is the nicest thing that anyone has ever said to you? 'I was just saying to my husband how well behaved your boys are' said by a lovely lady who purposefully followed us out of a restaurant just to let us know how she felt! *yes i cried - and yes it made me realise i do do things wrong at times but on the whole we are doing a good job*

Look what else i picked up too - Sarah Smith cleaning wipes and cloths in Poundland!! I would love to say they do the cleaning themselves but alas you still need to do the work - just with prettier cloths!! :D

*oh and by the way - i am so having the same stomach muscles Pink has once ive had this baby!* lol (a girl can dream cant she!!) ;)

  1. These are hard questions - but thanks for the chance to win - right here goes:
    1) The era from when 'House of Elliott' was taken from - again lovely fashions.
    2) Ali Edwards - I am definately going to have a go at scrapbooking in the new year.
    3) Anthea Turners (not her new one though but the one she has just sold) - that was featured on Perfect Housewife - and while she is at mine she can give it a good clean and get me organised!! lol
    4) Kick up the Bum.com
    5) Hmm hard one - but probably along similar lines about my two boys being polite and being able to take them anywhere.

  5. Not literally at the concert and blogging? Really? Or in front of dvd? :P I saw her at the O2 back in April - bliddy hell can she move, and when she does that trapeze, your heart feels like it will jackhammer right out of your chest :D

Good questions, really got me thinking tonight. Here goes...

    1. If you could go back in time, to where and when would you go?

I would love to go back, just for a day, to a time before all these buildings and factories sprung up, to see what our beautiful country looked like before we covered it all up.

    2. Who last inspired you? ALICE COOPER! What a voice, what a performer, what STAMINA! Loved his concert.

    3. Who would you like to houseswap with? Kirstie Allsop. Well the one she uses in her Homemade series... does she actually live there? I don't know but I love it.

    4. What website would you like to use that doesnt exist? knitting & sewing in 3 easy steps.com

    5. What is the nicest thing that anyone has ever said to you? I Love You... by my OH :) And also when my kids say it too. (particularly when they are NOT after something!!)

Happy Christmas to you and yours Debbie :)

  6. Fantastic questions. I've been thinking them over for several days now!

    1. If you could go back in time, to where and when would you go? This is the most difficult question for me - every age had advantages and disadvantages and it depends on how affluent you would be. I fancy the years of the great transatlantic liners, but on balance I think I am probably where and when I am meant to be. So I'll stick with the here and now!!

    2. Who last inspired you? A new neighbour who is so organised and so full of energy she achieves more in a day than I do in a week. If only I could be like her. I do try but never seem quite to get there.

    3. Who would you like to houseswap with? This one's easy. A house in Niagara on the Lake, in Canada that is now The Romance gallery.
    http://www.romancecollection.com/niagara_home.php
..and do look at Tricia Romance's paintings. I love them. Having said where I would like to be, I'm not sure how our house would work as a gallery!!!

    4. What website would you like to use that doesnt exist? One that gives me the motivation to get on with things without encouraging me yo spend too much time trawling through the whole site.

    5. What is the nicest thing that anyone has ever said to you? A student who wept as he told me how much his life had improved by a course I was running. He brought a tear to my eye and I realised how lucky I am.
