  1. Very soppie mine I was in hopital heavily pregnant with Maxi and feeling very very sorry for myself. I was seriously ill and felt pretty horrible and the midwives and Maddad conspired to arrange for me to have an additional scan on Mondays day along with a card from the bump!

  2. I am very sad as Mother's Day along with Valentine's Day and usually my birthday don't seem to be celebrated in this house..."big sigh"....xoxo

  3. My best mother's day gift was the year my eldest was four and decided she was old enough to creep down and make me a breakfast tray. It was wonderful, and really special and paved the way for her younger sister and even younger brother to try their own versions. Kiddies are so brilliant when they do it their way, let's just leave it at that. But it was sooooo memorable. xxx

  4. Many years ago when my son was about 12 (he's knocking 40 now) he presented me with a Mother's Day card which I knew came free with a box of chocolates. Jokingly I asked where the chocolates were and he admitted he'd found the card on the pavement! I've ribbed him about this ever since and have enjoyed his squirming immensly, better than any pressie!!

  6. Oh what a lovely giveaway. My best Mothers Day present was when Craig and the girls found a one of a kind handmade Alice Cooper tote bag on eBay, stalked it and got it for me. I love it to bits - it's so me.

Of course the ultimate gift would be to see my own Mum one more time. It's such a happy/sad day.

  9. My best Mother's Day was for a different reason. Both my Mum and MIL were at our house and we told them I was pregnant with Matthew. Their faces were a picture! :)

  10. Wow, what an amazing giveaway.
I was given a cooking course for my birthday last year. The course was on mothers day weekend so we hired a lovely cottage in the lakes and made a weekend of it.
The children had made cards and breakfast with their daddy, he doesn't do craft normally so I found it really sweet.
Trouble is, I now have very high expectations;)
Have a fun weekend, hope you are finding things a bit easier
    Rachael xx

  11. I recieved my best Mothers Day gift on my first ever Mothers Day. They were my babies being alive and hand made cards that I treasure, and I found them in Jack and Abigail incubators.

I will never forget that day and it still to this day brings tears of joy to my eyes.

What a butiful giveaway hun and hope bump is well. xox

  14. My 30th Birthday was on Mother's Day a few years back. Paul and I were away for the weekend and when we arrived home on the Sunday my Mum had helped the kids put up decorations and they had baked cakes for a wee party - it was such a lovely surprise and was so nice to share it all with my Mum. xxx

  15. Short and simple - a lay on in the morning, can't remember when it was last but must have been last Mothers Day - not good at sharing here in this house....LOL

  16. The best mother's day for me, getting that oh sooo good lie in and the children tip-toeing past the bedroom door and being quiet especially the ADHD kid is usually quite bouncy in the mornings and then said kid coming in with a card and a tissue paper flower having made it all on his own. Ok, so he raided my craft stash but heck it was worth it :)

  17. my best mothers day present was last years, I wasnt expecting anything as the kiddies hadnt been taken out to choose it, I didnt know my OH had discussed it with them and helped them do some online shopping. I got a much needed paper trimmer and a couple of stamps

  18. Best Mothers day gift for me was my apple tree from all 3 of mine. The boys love to help water it, my daughter likes to help harvest it, and we all enjoy the fruits of our labour in hubby's favourite - an apple crumble!

  20. Last year on Mothers Day I was undergoing chemotherapy, this meant I could not eat properly...so my two kids bought me lots of my favourite ice creams...so that I did not need to chew x

  21. Every year my hubby says "you are not my mum why should I buy you anything?"
But last year he let me go all day thinking i was not getting anything like every other year and handed me a little blue box. You should have seen my face it was a Tiffany & Co cupcake neckless :) he has a lot to live upto this year! xx

  22. my best Mother's day was the year my children were old enough to go to the shops on their own and buy me some little thing, it wasn't much but it was from them!!

  23. Last year my son and daughter clubbed together to give me a voucher for Nirvana - a day spa near Wokingham. The day was pure heaven - just so relaxing and it included a flotation in their flotation pool in dimmed light under a starry ceiling!

Of course the other side of mother's day is the sadness at no longer having a mother of my own to spoil. My mother died 15 years ago and I still have to hurry past the displays of cards.

  24. Aww I wish I was a mummy :( I don't have mothers days - I do however have a lovely mum who has been a star for me this year and helped me every step of the way through difficult times in the past year and a half.... if I won she'd definately be getting these prezzies.... she deserves them! My mum really is one in a million!

great give away hon :) hope bump and you are well xx

*huge beaming smile at that memory* :) xxx

  27. I think my favourite mothers day was my very first one as a mummy to twin girls. I can't remember what they bought for me- but I can still remember waking up and seeing those two precious little faces looking up at me. We spent nearly 3 weeks in hospital after they were born and I had begun to think they'd be going to school straight from the maternity ward! We visited both sets of grandparents and I just remember it being a wonderful day!

  28. My best mothers day was when my son was 4, he knew it was mothers day as I had been buying a card (this was before I did any cardmaking!!) My son went to play upstairs, after an hour or so he came downstairs, he had taken some paper from a lined notepad, folded it in half (ok so not completely in half) and had drawn a picture of him and me on it and our cat. He had been learning to write and had written in his lovely little scribble love you mummy with lots of kisses all over. He had even sneaked out into the garden and picked me some dandelions and daisys specially!! I nearly burst into tears as at the time I was single and it was always just the 2 of us, mothers day for me never happened before that year!
Hope all you mums have a lovely special day xxx

  34. One of my best mothers days was a few years ago, I am always on at the kids to MAKE me a card, don't buy one, put a bit of thought into it, well they took me at my word and all made a card, what made me laugh was that Carl, went to my box of cards, the ones that I had already made, selected one and made it his own by printing a picture of his face and put it in the middle of all the flowers!! He was only 10!!!

  35. what a lovely giveaway.
My best mother's day was several years ago when my boys were 8 & 10, I took them shopping and had to keep turning a blind eye as they were trying to buy something without me knowing. It was so sweet, I obviously knew what they were doing but didn't want to let them know and they bought me a glass rose which I loved. They are now HUGE strapping teens and I;m lucky if I get a card. xx

  46. My best mother's day presents are homemade cards from the kids. DD is quite arty and enjoys making cards whereas for DS it's harder but he always draws the funniest pigs on my cards! My other fav thing is cuddles in bed all 4 of us and the attempts of the children to make breakfast in bed!!!

But my DH and I do try to get up to see her every Mother's day. These goodies would simply maker her (and my) day!! Great blog ~ keep up the great work.

  49. Last year I had the funniest Mother's Day morning. My son and two daughters decided to make me breakfast in bed. They arrived into the bedroom carrying a lovely tray with tea and toast with jam on it. Delighted, I sat back and started to sip my tea and eat the toast. Then I realised that there was a strange aroma coming from the toast, but being the good mum that I am I soldiered on. I could not eat the second piece though. Then it struck me. They had used tomato 'jam' aka chutney to spread on the toast. But on Mother's Day it really is the thought that counts.

  50. I can't wait to be celebrated on Monther's Day. Fingers crossed this time next year.

For the last few years I've been giving my Mum scrapbook LOs every year. She wanted to scrapbook herself but has never found the time to start so I decided to do it for her bit by bit over the years so that it is kept up to date.
