Card Challenges!

Ok, im doing 2 posts today as i want to keep all the shopping lists and step by steps easy to find when you click on them and for their posts to only contain the info you need :) Hence, im going to do this post first so i can link back from the challenge sites to this one and then you can follow the next for the 52 recipe challenge :)

This first card is for the Basic Grey Challenge blog. It was a cute sketch and i sometimes struggle with card sketches that have lots of bits to them but i really enjoyed this one and i got to use the My Cute Stamps bird cage. (oh yes theres more than one birdcage on there - see the card below too for another fabby cage!) These papers are from the Lemonade Basic Grey collection which is very very girlie and lovable!! :)

This next card is for the Quixotic Challenge blog on which you had to use a tag - i know its not a traditional tag in every sense of the word!I thought making the birdcage into a little movable 'tag' and attaching it to the card over the bird was cute! I love this style of cage and the fact you can move it about to free the little bird just really appealed to me :)

This card is for the Stampin for the Weekend Blog - challenge this week is Valentine theme and what i cuter than a couple of kissing fish! lol The fish are paper pieced and glossy accented to make them stand out more :)

Let me know if youre taking part in any challenges and i really hope you enjoy the links and challenge i post to :)

Im now going to go write up the shopping list for this week and will post another post above :)

  4. Beautiful cards, Debbie. Can you tell me if it is patterned paper on the 2nd one, or did you do some stamping technique?

  5. Thanks for the sweet comments everyone :)

W&W - the second card is embossed with a cuttlebug roses embossing folder and then inked with pale pink chalk ink. The bottom half is a Christine Adolf paper - ive thrown away the strip with the name on so im not sure what its called sorry :)
